About Us

An International and Bible based Community
Newlife SDA Church in Berlin is an international, Christ-centered, and Bible-based congregation dedicated to sharing the everlasting gospel of Jesus Christ. Our mission is to call all people to become His disciples, proclaim the Three Angels’ Messages of Revelation 14:6-12, and prepare the world for His soon return.
As a church family, we strive to reflect the love of Christ through compassionate service, genuine care, and outreach to our community. Rooted in faith and guided by scripture, we are committed to fostering spiritual growth and equipping others to spread the good news of salvation.
Our Story
The New Life SDA Church (NLC), Berlin, began in 1997, driven by the vision of three friends, Bro Reuben Kimomi, Bro David Kiragu, and Sis Hyacinth Linton, to create a space for English-speaking worshippers. Joined by Bro Johnny Ogunji, they held their first meetings at Waldfriede Hospital Church, conducting their own Sabbath services. The church’s vision was realized in 1998 after the NET 98 evangelistic event led by Dwight Nelson, which brought their first converts.
In 1999, the group moved to Charlottenburg and was affiliated with the local German church. Through prayer and consistent effort, the congregation steadily grew, and on May 25, 2002, New Life SDA Church became an officially recognized church within the Berlin Central-German Conference. Over the years, the church has hosted division-wide camp meetings, seminars, and other community outreach activities, cultivating a vibrant and diverse membership.
Today, NLC is a dynamic community of 109 adults and 40 children, with a strong focus on youth and family ministries. Under the leadership of Pastor Chigemezi N. Wogu, the church continues to grow, with plans to establish another English-speaking group in Berlin. Their 2024 theme, “Let’s Go and Make Disciples,” reflects the church’s ongoing mission to expand and share the gospel.
