Welcome to the Welfare and Community Services Ministries!
At Newlife Seventh-Day Adventist Church (NLC) in Berlin, the Community and Welfare Services Ministry is a vital expression of Christ’s love and compassion. Rooted in the teachings of the Bible, our mission is to extend a helping hand to those in need—both within our church family and the wider community. Jesus said, “Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me” (Matthew 25:40). This ministry reflects Christ’s call to serve the poor, comfort the lonely, care for the sick, and support those facing trials.
Our purpose is to address the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of individuals, offering food, clothing, and support to the homeless, elderly, and vulnerable. We also assist families with essentials, provide health care resources, and counsel those facing hardship with hope and biblical guidance. Galatians 6:2 reminds us to “Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” Through this ministry, we seek to be the hands and feet of Jesus, reconciling people to God and to one another.
Newlife’s Community and Welfare Services Ministry includes food stalls, clothing drives, and health care assistance. We also organize Sabbath School programs for children and support for the unemployed, offering comfort and hope to those facing life’s challenges.
